I am continuously learning about the numerous facets of marketing and how they affect a company's performance as a business student. Trade and Shopper Marketing and e-commerce are two topics that have lately gotten my attention. Businesses need to grasp how trade and shopper marketing contribute to growth and sales in the modern world, where
e-commerce is expanding at an unprecedented rate.
I completed a marketing internship at Unilever last year, as some people already know. I had a great time there and picked up a lot of knowledge. I became more and more interested in marketing. Two weeks ago, I have started as a trade and shopper marketing assistant at Granfood. I'd like to understand more about trade marketing and how e-commerce can contribute trade marketing.

E-commerce for companies
E-commerce benefits more than just customers. companies can definitely benefit from it as well. Companies may reach a worldwide market and sell their goods around-the-clock by establishing an online presence.
E-commerce makes it possible to collect and analyse data more effectively, which may enhance customer service and enhance marketing plans.
The challenges of e-commerce
E-commerce does, however, present a unique set of difficulties. Security is one of the main issues. Personal data theft is a constant concern when making purchases online. To safeguard consumers, it is crucial for e-commerce enterprises to have secure payment mechanisms in place.
The requirement for companies to remain competitive presents another difficulty. It may be tough for a business to stand out in the sea of internet possibilities. This is why it's crucial for companies to keep current with e-commerce trends and technologies!
Finally, e-commerce is transforming the way we shop and do business. It's the direction of things, not merely a fad. I'm interested in the future of this sector and the opportunities it will present for FMCG companies and customers.
I advise enrolling in an online course on e-commerce if you want to learn more about it. The Google Digital Marketing & E-Commerce course on Coursera is excellent. To go there, click on this link.
You may learn more about this issue in my next blog. I will go into greater detail on E-commerce and trade & shopper marketing there.
